"Where Leadership Meets Lift-Off"

The JROTC Drone Program combines cutting-edge technology with the core values of leadership, teamwork, and discipline. Designed to engage cadets in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), this program empowers young leaders to explore the exciting world of unmanned aerial systems while building skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Plant City High School JROTC Drones

Plant City High School's JROTC Drone Program is an exciting educational initiative where cadets gain hands-on experience in drone technology, flight operations, and aerial reconnaissance. The program meets every other Friday, allowing students to balance their academic and extracurricular commitments while engaging in advanced STEM-focused activities.

During sessions, cadets practice piloting drones, learning precise maneuvering, safety protocols, and mission planning. They also receive instruction on drone maintenance, electronics, and software used in unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The program emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills as cadets work together in flight simulations and field exercises.

Participation in the program helps cadets develop technical proficiency, situational awareness, and an understanding of aerospace and robotics concepts, preparing them for future careers in aviation, defense, and technology industries. Special events may include drone competitions, community demonstrations, and collaborative projects with local organizations to apply their skills in real-world scenarios.
