DRILL TEAM

The Plant City High School Drill Team is a dedicated, elite unit within our Corps of Cadets, focusing on precision, discipline, and military bearing. As a cornerstone of the JROTC program, our team trains rigorously to master the manual of arms and competitive marching. We compete at regional and state levels, representing our school with pride and upholding the highest standards of excellence. Through unwavering teamwork, we transform individual dedication into unified strength, transforming "me" to "we."

Team Fees
There is a $20 Fee for being a member of the JROTC Drill Team. These funds are utilized to purchase personalized team shirts for each team member.
Fundraising
Drill Team members are expected to participate in fundraising activities (i.e. online e-mail-based fundraising). The funds raised are required to pay for competition entrance fees (approximately $150 per team per competition)
Competitive Drill Meets
A typical Competition Schedule consists of approximately 7 competitions from January – April. Typical snack type food is provided to the cadets on competition days (Sandwiches, chips, Nutra gran bars, water, etc.). Normally concession stands are also available for the cadets to purchase additional food if desired.

Competition Day Schedule

Arrive at Plant City High School: Between 4:30 – 5:00 a.m.

Depart Plant City High School: Between 5:00 – 6:00 a.m. (Transportation is provided from Plant City High School to and from the competition locations.)

Arrive at Competition Location: 7:00 a.m.

Competition Start Time: 8:00 a.m. (Spectators encouraged to attend at no cost for parking or entrance)

Depart Competition Location: Approximately 4:00 p.m. (The team will usually stop on the way back to the school after the competition at a fast-food style location for a team meal (Cadet will need own funds))

Arrive back at Plant City High School: Between 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
